Hi! My name is Abigail, most people call me Abbey, and I am an incoming senior at Trumbull High School. Throughout my high school career, I have taken 6 AP courses and scored 5s on all exams. I have maintained straight As throughout high school and earned six awards at my junior award ceremony. I have a passion for singing and I was a part of the honors choir at my school called the Chamber Singers, as well as the after-school music ensemble. I love helping my community and frequently volunteer at my church, the Nichols Improvement Association, and schools around Trumbull. I also work as a representative for the Parent Teacher Association Council for the Trumbull Public Schools and spend lots of my free time participating in clubs at my school such as the THS Geography Club, of which I am an officer. I am thrilled to be the CEO of Trumbull Tutors and I am contsntaly working to bring new things to this organization! I specialize in all elementary and middle core subjects, French up to Honors French 2, AP Human Geography, Biology, and english up to 10th grade.

Jaspreet Singh

Hi! My name is Jaspreet Singh, and I am a senior at Trumbull High School. I currently have a 4.9 GPA and scored a 1550 on the SAT. Last year, I took 4 APs, and I will be taking 7 more this year. At Trumbull High, I'm a captain of the school's Cross Country team. In addition to this, I'm a president of Trumbull High DECA. Outside of school, I enjoy community service and have interned with both the Sikh American Legal Defense Education Fund (SALDEF) and the Asian Pacific American Coalition (APAC). I am a Sikh advocate in education and work to promote the proper representation of Sikhi in public schools across the state by giving presentations and speaking on panels before educators and community leaders. I am also the owner of a SAAS startup, Poppy. I specialize in all elementary and middle school core subjects, and I am also able to provide SAT tutoring.

Hello! My name is Rithik Gunda, and I am a sophomore at Trumbull High School. This year, I will be taking 3 APs: AP Biology, AP Human Geography, and AP Computer Science A. At Trumbull High, some clubs I'm a member of are Trumbull High DECA, Model Congress, FBLA, the Trumbull High Math Team, and many more. I was also elected the president of the entire sophomore class to plan out school events. In addition, I am a part of the Trumbull High Tennis team. Outside of school, I volunteer at the HCC temple, a local Hindu temple, and at Code Ninjas, a organization that teaches STEM and coding to young minds. Furthermore, I am the Lead Builder on my First Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics team Robolution, and I have even competed in the world competition after placing top 2 in the state. I also mentor two First Lego League teams, a lower level robotics competition for elementary and middle school students. I specialize in elementary and middle school core subjects, math up to Algebra 2, and core subjects up to 9th Grade.

Hello, I am Marcelo Deras, a senior at Trumbull High School. Throughout my academic journey, I have excelled in 8 Advanced Placement (AP) courses, including Biology, United States History, Government & Politics, European History, English Language and Composition, Chemistry, and Calculus AB and BC, earning 4's and 5's on all courses. As captain of both the Trumbull High School Math and First Tech Robotics Team (Team 21503), I have enhanced my leadership skills and pursued my passion for mathematics and robotics. Additionally, my love and dedication to community service is evident through my role as National Honor Society Treasurer, 200+ hours of volunteering at the Bridgeport Islamic Community Center Food Pantry and Groundwork Bridgeport, and being a founder of Gardens for Growth, a non-profiting organization dedicated to combating food insecurity locally and nationally. I am eager to continue making a positive impact and contribute to a brighter future as the Trumbull Tutors COO. Hi! My name is Jiya Malhotra, and I am a senior at Trumbull High School. Up till now, I have taken 7 AP courses, scoring 4s and 5s on all exams. I pride myself in being an active member of our community, involving myself in a plethora of clubs and activities. At Trumbull High School, I am president of our Model Congress team and greatly enjoy playing for the varsity tennis team in the spring! Outside of school, I am a Student Board Member to the Board of Education, representing the student perspective on educational matters. I also volunteer with Connecticut Against Gun Violence (CAGV), an organization committed to mitigating the threat gun violences poses, and HindiUSA, where I aid students in their pursuit of learning Hindi, fostering cultural connections beyond the language. I have a passion for dance, and have been dancing Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance form, for 9 years. I am always eager to support students as they navigate their academic challenges, and am deeply fulfilled by my work as a tutor!

Hi there! My name is Thomas and I am a junior at Trumbull High School. I currently have a 4.98 GPA and scored a 1550 on the SAT. I am taking (or have taken) 22 AP Classes and am a 2x recipient AP Scholar with Distinction Award. Additionally, I work as a legal intern at a personal injury law firm, an assistant chef at a restaurant, a campaign fellow, and as the CFO of a local start-up company. Throughout my academic journey, I held various positions such as serving as the president of my class, captain of the geography team, student liason for the PTA council, president of model congress, regional officer for FFA, and managing editor of the newspaper. Also, I spend a lot of time volunteering as the SPL of my Boy Scout Troop, recently receiving the President Volunteering Service Award and Golden Eagle Award for over 250 hours of community service. I am a lead tenor saxist for my marching band and like to compete in public speaking competitions, getting multiple national and state awards in Model Congress, DECA, and FBLA. I specialize in core subjects and standardized testing.

Hi! My name is Nati Tesfaye, and I am a senior at Hopkins School in New Haven. I take a wide variety of courses and always look to advance my understanding of the world around me. I currently take two AP classes: AP Biology and AP United States History, and I plan on taking two more APs my senior year. I am a co-head of two clubs at my school: a sports debate club and a charity for cancer awareness. I am also a member of my school's debate club and model congress. I currently work for my school's writing studio, which helps students with their English and research papers. I run cross country and play basketball for Hopkins, and I compete at the varsity level for both sports. I love to help whenever I can, and I specialize in elementary subjects, intermediate subjects, history, writing, and biology for high school students.

Dean Jackson
Hi, my name is Dean Jackson and I am a sophomore attending Trumbull High school. My courses for this year consist mainly of Honors and AP classes such as AP Psychology H Chemistry, H Physics, and Precalculus with a 4.0 gpa. I attend the aquaculture science program in Bridgeport where I take a larger range of science classes. This past year I received the award for academic achievement, top of my class in both my H Earth and Aquaculture, and H Biology. At Trumbull High I am member of the Environmental Club and participate on the Trumbull High Varsity tennis team as a singles starter. Outside of school I train for tennis daily at TCT tennis club and take part in community service. This year, I received the Eagle Community Service Award for 100 hours of organized environmental events including recycling, cleanup, and other sustainable events with Trumbull Sustainable Youth. During the summers I volunteer as a CIT(counselor in training) at Insports, helping the camp and working with young kids. Over the past couple of years, I have tutored peers and I am excited to work with everyone this coming year for some fun and effective tutoring sessions! Hi! My name is Isabel O’Brien and I am a senior at Trumbull High School. I run varsity in cross country and track and am a captain for cross country. I am also a member and officer of DECA and the Red Cross Club. I participate in a lot of community service through my school’s Interact Club and through my church. I specialize in elementary and middle school core subjects and math up to Precalculus. Jill Seres manages a pharmaceutical analytical laboratory at MannKind Corporation. She is a long time resident of Trumbull and is happily married to her husband, Matt for 35 years.
Secretary - Brandon Pierce
Brandon Pierce teaches English Literature and Language Arts at Lake Travis High School in Austin, TX. For a decade prior Brandon served as a minister to churches in Texas, California, and Connecticut. He is a graduate of Abilene Christian University (BA '08; MA '12). He is married to Sierra Pierce and has two boys, Oliver and Elliott, growing up entirely too fast.
Our Mission
As we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, we recognize that too many students have been negatively impacted by the pandemic and their learning wasn't optimized. Naturally, students can now feel like they’re struggling in school.
Being unable to understand what goes on during class is a nightmare that nobody wants to experience. Unfortunately, teachers don’t always have enough time to focus their attention on all of the students in their class, especially being a problem for struggling students. Parents may also be too busy to instruct their children, leaving too many students in the dust.
We recognize the need for students to have a significant amount of time for their questions to be answered. It’s our mission to provide students with personalized lessons and feedback via ZOOM in order to erase the gaps in learning they face daily.
For that reason, we provide a diverse selection of experienced, high school tutors, who specialize in a variety of subjects. All of our tutors are at the top of their class, making them the best of the best. Booking an appointment is simple, Just visit our booking page and select a tutor. Different tutors have different hours and availability, providing the highest likelihood that a tutor will be avaliable for you.
